Data Export
Your data is yours. Oakden makes it easy to export everything at any time.
How to Export
- Navigate to Settings > Data > Export
- Choose your export format: JSON or CSV
- Select what to include:
- All data (recommended for full backups) - Specific projects or properties - Date range
- Click Export and download the file
Export files are generated immediately for small accounts. Larger accounts may take a few minutes, and you will receive an email when the export is ready.
What Is Included
Your export includes everything you have put into the system:
- Projects — All project details, settings, and metadata
- Daily Logs — Every log entry with timestamps and attached data
- Budget & Invoices — Line items, payments, change orders
- Properties — Property details, systems, health scores
- Cases — All diagnoses, statuses, and notes
- Documents — Uploaded files and AI-extracted data
- Contacts — Clients, contractors, suppliers
Data Portability
Oakden exports use standard formats (JSON, CSV) that can be imported into spreadsheets, databases, or other tools. We do not use proprietary formats that lock you in.
Data Deletion
If you want to permanently delete your data:
- Export your data first (recommended)
- Email [email protected] with your account email and a deletion request
- We will confirm the request and complete deletion within 30 days
All data associated with your account will be permanently removed from our systems. This action cannot be undone.
Retention After Cancellation
If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days. During this window, you can reactivate your account and pick up where you left off. After 90 days, data is automatically deleted unless you have requested an export.
